Brand Analysis COMM 333


This blog post is for the Brand Analysis assignment required by COMM 333: Persuasion.

Within the brand analysis assignment, 5 brands were analysis for the persuasive methods and techniques, acknowledging and demonstrating understanding of the methods and techniques learned throughout the course this semester. Choosing 5 very different brands, I was able to see the differences and similarities that brands use in their promotional material and how effective they are as foundational aspects of persuasion in pop culture and media. I also learned that these similar persuasive techniques can be deployed very differently depending on various aspects of the media (desired demographic, budget, aesthetic, culture of origination, etc).







Unfortunately, I did not have the capabilities to create a working video as I included embedded YouTube videos in my presentation as three of the brands I analyzed were from commercials and PowerPoint would not allow for me to convert to a video with audio content remaining. In an attempt to go above and beyond with the presentation, I was unable to meet the requirement of a working video link. I understand if points are taken off because of this but do want to express my apologies in my blog post.
