Making the e-portfolio on Wix was very easy for me as I made the website for my family's business using Wix. Though it has been a while, and a lot has changed since I first made their website, I was able to get "into a flow" with making my own. The most challenging thing was making one small change that could effect the overall aesthetic. I honestly am not 100% pleased with the aesthetic at this point-- I wanted to go modern, but also with some soft tones, so I'm still debating on if this will stay the same.
Computer-mediated communication (CMC), to me, is literally any communication done over an electronic device. As I am aspiring to be a full-time (and succesful!) drag queen performer, CMC is extremely important in my professional life as it has been the main reason I have connected with local queens and begun being booked for shows. In my personal life, CMC is very important. I have no family in Richmond, VA so most of my communication to family back home or back on the island are through my phone or online. I often use Instagram and text-messaging for these purposes.
The one question I have during this stage of the ePortfolio process is, "Can we change our overall aesthetic or are we locked-in with how we have created our website?"
